okay I had to share
in my media class today the teacher actually discussed both Sherlock and Elementary
and the RDJ Sherlock movies
and then talked about the following that Benedict and JLM have
and I internally squee’d for 30 seconds.
it filled my heart with joy
that is all.
The Watsons can never resist messing with the Sherlocks. Never.
(Switching clothes was Joan’s idea.)
(x) i felt it was necessary for these stupid fandoms i love so much but never seem to get along
I see people asking for Elementary/Sherlock crossovers
you guys I’ve been telling you
Shelementary
I have created that tag for that specific crossover and it is a thing
plz go fill it up
I know I will when I get the time
I’m sorry for that angry post. I’ll say something more rational after I’ve had some sleep.
running out of words for the Elementary/Sherlock war
at this point it’s a lot of spam and hate in most of the tags I check. it hurts my heart and stomach literally.
im actually almost 100% positive we all have more productive things to do than embarrass our fandoms with idiotic sentiment and send hate to people we don’t know (including the actors of these shows)
I am legitimately having trouble believing that some of these stans are actually in their late twenties and older. Fuck ruined childhood gifs; this is the real, disgusting affront to childhood. I never would have believed at six that people this old would still act like elementary school children.
I’m sure that if these characters were real they would be appalled by this behavior.

Watched it. Not going to compare it to BBC’s Sherlock
If you don’t know why, see http://livevibrantly.tumblr.com/post/32383349956/how-to-enjoy-bbc-sherlock-and-elementary
Overall, I enjoyed it, enough to watch it again next week. JLM’s acting as Sherlock was actually likable, imo. His Holmes feels spontaneous, sharp-witted, and more socially awkward than heartless buttface; an interesting take. I enjoyed the empathetic touches here and there, such as pretending not to know what circumstances led Watson to him. I also enjoyed that Sherlock’s deductions were relatively easy to follow once it was explained. Actually, I want more scenes where Sherlock goes on a long train of deduction.
Joan is a strong, independent woman. While it still annoys me that the military background was removed, it didn’t detract from her fierceness at all. I would say, however, that at times I found that she was overshadowed by Sherlock. In the future I want her to have more lines, and to see more of her training as a doctor at work. I also want to see her get involved in some physical buttkicking scenes. Additionally, I want the cast to take a page from ACD and have an episode where she spends a good amount of time on her own, using her wits to help Sherlock on a case.
The one scene that annoyed me with her was (and I admit, I probably didn’t fully grasp it) was when she yelled at Sherlock during his interrogation of the woman. If she’s indeed lying about knowing the killer, she should feel guilt, end of story.
As a native New Yorker, I will say that it was pretty cool being able to tell what neighborhoods they were generally in. Also, I found that cop’s (I forgot his name, sorry) New York accent pretty damn laughable.
My criticisms are that at times, I found the cinematography and soundtrack to be a bit awkward. Also, it may just have been my TV, but the audio was pretty soft. I’d love if they could speak up just a tad.
TL;DR Elementary is a good show in its own right. Most of the issues in the episode were minor, and would probably be fixed throughout the season. I’m looking forward to seeing how the characters, their relationships, and the overall show develop.
Problem: You don’t like Sherlock/Elementary.
Solution: You don’t watch Sherlock/Elementary, you do not put hate on the tags, you do not spam hate on the actors’ tags, you do not start wars in the fandoms.
